About Us

Northern Dutchess Day Care Center is nonprofit, NYS licensed Nature Preschool for children ages 18 months through 5 years Founded in 1970 by Jane Braitmayer Smith, we have been serving families in the Hudson Valley for over 54 years.

Our creative Nature Program takes place in an atmosphere of great respect for each child as an individual with his or her unique interests, learning styles, and developmental needs.
